Titan Twist Link Tire Chains Installation - 2024 GMC Sierra 1500- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Titan Chain twist link chains on our 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. Our Titan Chain chains are twist link style, and as you can see, you have chain links that are twisted and what that does for you, it allows you to get better traction in ice, snow, and mud. These guys are rated for on road. The material is a steel alloy that's designed to hold up against corrosion and the elements and salt, like you can see that's in the tread of our truck here. The way that it secures are gonna be links on the rear and a latch on the front. With the size tire that we have, the 255/70R17, it was a lot of slack on the chain, so I would suggest adding a rubber adjuster, that's gonna help pull the tension towards the middle. more

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Titan Chains Roller Link Cable Chains on our 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. Our roller links are gonna be your economy option, and, generally speaking, this is gonna be something that you keep in your vehicle for a worst case scenario if you need it, kind of along the lines of a spare tire. If you use 'em, you're not gonna have a very long life out of them. However, they are definitely better than nothing to add additional traction in light snow and light ice. As far as the clearance, out of all of the cables I've done today in tire chains, this is gonna have the lowest clearance behind the vehicle, behind the wheel, on the inside of the wheel well, you're not making contact with anything. It's really tight against the wheel. more

These chains are a ladder pattern style chain which means they go straight across the tire and they're gonna be really helpful for starting and stopping but they're not gonna give you as much coverage on turns as the diamond pattern and you'll definitely feel the bumpiness while you're moving. more

The links themselves are square so they'll help get you a little bit more bite. They're not gonna be as low profile as some of the roller styles or the cable style might be, but they will get you more traction, and they're made of a manganese nickel alloy, which is gonna be better for corrosion and weather resistance. more

These are just gonna be a good, low profile easy entry level way to get some chains on your tire in the event of maybe some light snow. The links themselves are in a diagonal pattern so they cut a little bit more coverage on the tire than say, your just normal ladder style pattern chains and they'll get you a little bit better coverage on turns. The links themselves are cables or they're actual rollers on the cables, so they're gonna get you a little bit of a smoother ride compared to maybe some square-link chains. However, you're gonna sacrifice a little bit more of that traction for that smoother ride so that's something to consider. more

These are a great anterior level set of chains for a just-in-case type of situation. These are a ladder pattern, which means they go straight across the tire and they are rollers, which is gonna give you a smoother ride and a lot less bumpiness than a lot of other ladder pattern do. Ladder patterns themselves are gonna be really good for starting and stopping, not as great for turning and things like that, like a diamond pattern might be. The cables themselves are made of a low carbon steel so they're a little bit softer and they're not gonna hold up as well for things like corrosion and weather resistance like a manganese alloy chain would, but for the purposes of these chains, I think they're fine. more

These are pretty heavy-duty ladder-style chains, which means that they go across the tire in these ladder-style patterns and they're gonna be very good at helping you with starting and stopping. Not gonna give you as much coverage and traction on turns as diamond pattern chains would but they're gonna be pretty aggressive and get a nice bite into some ice and snow. They're called all square because they do have these rather large square link chains. They're gonna be really good at biting into some thicker ice and snow. more

Additionally, they are a diamond pattern-style chain, which is going to give you more coverage on the tire. It's going to give you a smoother ride, and better handling and turning. These chains themselves are square link, although they are pretty low profile, the square links will do a good job of getting you some bite into some light ice. more

How's it going everyone It's Ethan here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at our Titan Chain Mud Service Snow Tire Chains on our 2022 GMC Sierra. So these are the chains that you're gonna wanna pick up, mostly for off-road usage, adventuring, things like that. They are pretty heavy duty and they do have this twisted link design, which is going to make for a bit of a smoother ride than say your square link chains in the same style. These are ladder style chains, which means they go straight across the tire, gonna be good for starting and stopping, not so much great for coverage and turning and things like that, but if you are using these for off-roading purposes, you're probably not gonna be super worried about a smooth ride. They're made of a low carbon steel, which is probably the best case for chains that are twisted like this because they could get brittle if you're out in the cold and that could be a breaking point. more

That is great for coverage and turning, but the chains themselves are twisted links which are going to help you as well, getting bite and traction, as well as there being these V bars on top, which are obviously going to do a good job of biting into some deeper ice and snow as well. These are pretty aggressive chains used for pretty aggressive conditions, and they're gonna be pretty bumpy when you're driving, but if you're using these chains, it's probably not gonna be something you're concerned with. more

What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out the pewag Brenta-C 4X4 Snow Tire Chains on our 2022 GMC Terrain. One of the first things you wanna do is get your tire size, so you can put it in the fit guide to make sure you get the right chains for the right tire. The tire size we'll work on today is 235/50R19, and you can usually find that around the tire. These tire chains are gonna be a diamond pattern, so you can see looking at the tire, they make that diamond shape as it goes around, so that's gonna give more coverage with the chains. They're also gonna be square links, so it's gonna help dig into the ice, so they're gonna be good with snow and ice compared to some other chains that just go straight across like a ladder pattern, those are really only good for starts and stops, they don't dig in, but this is gonna be the best of both worlds to give you better grip. more

These are going to be the Titan Chain twist link chains, with the Vbar studs and cams, here on our 2023 GMC Sierra 1500. So if you're expecting a lot of ice on the road and you need to make sure you have a lot of traction, that's where these tire chains can come in handy. So the way they're constructed is they have twist links, which help out with deep snow, but then they also have these Vbar studs, or cleats or spikes, however you want to call them. And those are designed to bite into the ice and give you that traction. more

We've got our cross links here with the end pieces having these hook-shaped links. They have a smooth side and a more hooked side. We want that smooth side face down, so it's gonna be touching the tire, so I'll flip this chain in just a second, and then we've got our cam tensioners that we do want on the outside here, so they're accessible when we put it on the tire. more

Hi everyone. Aiden here with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Titan Chain Twist Link Snow Tire Chains on our 2019 GMC Sierra 1500. The first thing you wanna do when installing your chains is lay them out, make sure nothing's tangled or twisted. After that, we can come to the cross sections of the chain and at each end there's going to be a link with a hook shape that hooked end we want facing up away from the tire. Collin: Hey guys, it's Collin here at etrailer, and today we have a 2019 GMC Yukon XL, and we're going to go and do a test fit of the Titan Chain diagonal cable snow tire chains. Now, keep in mind the tire size on our Yukon today is 265/65R18. Now, these chains are going to be great for if you live in an area where you're getting moderate inclement weather, two, maybe three times a year, that lighter snow and ice that you might get.Any more than that, you're probably going to want to look into a more heavy duty set of chains. Instead of cable style, you probably want to look into a metal chain link style chain. One that comes to mind that is still the same brand as this is the Titan Chain alloy snow tire chains. Those are self-tensioning chains and they're metal D links, so they give you better traction through the thicker, snow and ice.But like I said, if you live in an area that you're not getting it a lot, but you'd like to have that extra traction for those situations, this is a really great and economical choice that's going to give you that extra traction. more

Keep in mind the tire size on this Yukon is going to be 265/65R18. Now these Twist Link snow tire chains are going to be a nice and handy tool to keep in your Yukon so if you experience any inclement weather situation, then you can be able to throw these on here, give you extra traction through that snow and ice so that you stay safe on the road.One cool thing about these tire chains is that they have cam tighteners all the way around the perimeter. There's four of these. These are just taking out the extra slack in our chain. I'll show you how to use them real quick. more

Now the tire heads on our Yukon today is 265/65R18. Now these standard snow tire chains they're going to be really nice and basic set of self-tensioning snow tire chains, meaning that we don't have to invest in a set of rubber tensioners or anything like that to keep our chains snug on the tire.
